I love how crisp the 3.5 x 3.5 design looks against the light blue background—it’s going to be a fun stitch. The 18 mesh feels nice and sturdy under my fingers, exactly what I wanted for a detailed needlepoint project.

The 18 mesh canvas is nice and tight, so my basketweave stitches sit really even without any slipping. Design area is a manageable 3.5 by 3.5, which made it a perfect weekend project while I watched tv. Already eyeing my next one.

The design is a fun little pirate motif and the light blue canvas is easier on my eyes than the usual white. Only gripe is the 3.5 inch size — it stitches up fast, which is nice, but I wish it were bigger for a project this cute.
