Personalized Nautical Flags Tote - Day 2

I love how this is the second in the 12 Days of Totes series — the nautical flag design is charming and the 18 mesh canvas holds the stitches perfectly. It's a nice size for incorporating into a larger tote project.

The 18 mesh canvas makes the stitches sit so evenly that the flags look almost painted on. I've been doing needlepoint for years and this design is one of the cleanest charts I've worked from. Already eyeing the rest of the series.

I finished the second flag last night and the 18 mesh canvas is a dream to work with, no squinting needed. The design area is smaller than I pictured at 3.5 by 3.75 inches, which actually makes it a quick weekend project. Thinking about grabbing the Day One canvas now so the pair matches.
