I've been stitching for years and this little 2.5x3 canvas is the perfect travel project. The painted checkered sardine design is crisp enough that I barely need to double-check my stitches on the 18 mesh.

The 18 mesh canvas is stiff enough that my stitches sit really even, which I wasn't expecting from something this small. Painted checkered sardines are crisp too, no fuzzy lines to guess at. Can't wait to finish it as a little ornament.

Two and a half by three inches is the perfect size for a little ornament, and the painted canvas means I can just pick my own silk colors and start stitching without second-guessing the design. The checkered sardines pattern is adorable, and the 18 mesh holds the tiny detail really well.
